CAREgiver

CAREgivers are responsible for the day-to-day care of the resident animals (mostly cats)
at the CARE Adoption Office in Harvard Square. Duties include socializing, feeding,
scooping, etc... No previous experience required, just a love of animals and a desire
to help!
In signing on to become a CAREgiver, you will be taking on the role of the primary care
taker for the animals at the facility during your shift. Please understand that this is a
big responsibility: YOU will be responsible for the animals' lives! Therefore,
reliability is a must. Minimum time commitment is 1 hour per week.
Because CAREgivers are largely unsupervised during their shift, we currently do not allow
minors to volunteer by themselves. However, teens are encouraged to participate if a
parent or guardian also becomes a CAREgiver and is willing to come in for shifts with them.
